Several of our dedicated Cactus Warrior volunteers were is action at the recent Maldon Market in September. They were handing out information brochures and offering advice on how to control infestations of Wheel Cactus, a declared noxious weed and Weed of National Significance. The very useful info included the availability of free disposal of Wheel Cactus plants at the Maldon Transfer Station. If you have plants small enough to manually dig up, thanks to funding from Mt. Alexander Shire Council, you can take them to our local tip (limit applies).
The Cactus Warriors will be holding another information stall at the upcoming Maldon and Baringhup Agricultural Show at the Maldon Racecourse in Lewis Rd. on Sunday 16th October.
